So we’ve been making a few different barbecue sauces recently, and we have found the current favorite! This one is such a classic barbecue sauce, with so many different levels of flavor. It’s got all the quality ingredients, right? Ketchup, brown sugar, vinegar, molasses — yellow mustard — and a few spices. It does turn out a little spicy at the end, so you can leave out the hot sauce or cut back on the chile powder if you are not a fan of spice. The only prep-work involved here is literally mincing the garlic. Then measure out all of your ingredients and heat ’em all up. You’re done! This sauce stays good for a week in the fridge. Go get your BBQ on!
Here’s what you need:
In a medium saucepan, combine all of the ingredients except the salt with 1/2 cup of water and bring to a boil, stirring well. Let cool and season with salt.
We served this with Chicken Wings.
